I have observed the following when down 2 flight in a row without closing ACARS.

Finished 1st flight successfully and pirep was sent. Pressing get booked flights the second flight is shown correctly and route is parsed normally. The pop up for entering time appears and the time is accepted. However the EDIT FP and EDIT ETE are grey out, also on the flight menu the only option is to send pirep, the start/end flight is grey out. It looks like ACARS does not reset it self completely. Only solution to shutdown and restart.

Thank for pointing it out Chris, it's a known small limitation of ACARS, hopefully it will be fixed in the next updates. In the meantime, for sequential flights, just close and restart ACARS.

Given the opportunity, my experience so far is that a free flight is not appearing in ACARS.
Is this something that will be fixed/allowed in the next update ?

Free flights cannot be supported due to the way the dispatch office handles them. Only scheduled flights can be send for the time being using ACARS. Free flights should be submitted manually.
