Known incompatibilities:

• Microsoft Office 2007 & 2010 64-bit; Uninstall it and install the 32-bit version with the same product key. Even Microsoft does not recommend the use of the 64-bit version of office with the exception of very specific and limitted applications.

In Requirements I guess you also need to add MS Office since ACARS generates the locally saved report after each flight in .doc or is it recommended but not required ? (meaning it shall bypass the automatic .doc generation if no office exists without any errors popping up)

Recommended but not required. However without Word the report cannot be generated and there will be an error.. Thanks for reminding.

I haven't for example MS Office installed on my PC and I m not intented to buy it.

You can use ACARS without office. But you will not be able to generate reports in MS word. Of course reports will be available in the dispatch office.

Can't OpenOffice be used instead?
