0.2.0.2, FSX.
Using the default Robinson R22: Couldn't start the flight. Maybe it's not recognized as a helicopter?
Using the default Bell 206B Jet Ranger: Couldn't end the flight.
In the pictures below, after some unsuccessful tries, i've already pressed "Forced Parking Brake", status has changed to "On Helipad", still the flight refused to end.
Settings:
Auto Detect Flight End->Disabled
Is there any special procedure i should have followed?

Re: 0.2.0.2 Helicopters
There was bug in End Flight routine which was fixed in version 0.2.0.3. Bell should work now!
Robinson is modeled as an aircraft by default. So it will never work!!

Re: 0.2.0.2 Helicopters
It is very easy to determine whether the helicopter is defined correctly by checking the aircraft.cfg of the one you are using. There is a line at some point defining engine type: If it is defined as 3 (i.e. Helo you are fine). If it is defined as anything else then it is not going to work. You can always try editing this value by yourself, although I can not guaranty that it will work correctly afterwards. With the exception of the Robinson (made by M$) I haven't been able to find any other helicopter not defined properly.
Code: Select all
[GeneralEngineData]
engine_type = 3 //0=Piston, 1=Jet, 2=None, 3=Helo-Turbine, 4=Rocket, 5=Turboprop

Thanks! I'll test it again at the first opportunity.
A question: Does the pilot have to press the "Force Parking Brake" when using a helicopter or it's not necessary?

Yes, as there is no other way of determining when the pilot wants to end his flight.1228511 wrote:A question: Does the pilot have to press the "Force Parking Brake" when using a helicopter or it's not necessary?
