VATSIM Scandinavia welcomes the world's pilots to one of the largest events of the year in the far north. For 10 hours on 21st November starting at 11:00z, our controllers will light up the Bridge between Continents, covering all the airspace between Scandinavia & North America and the North Atlantic all the way to the North Pole. That's over 5.5 million square kilometres to fly over!Contrast fiery volcanoes and black lava fields with glaciers and sparkling fjords in Iceland. Watch that speck of land grow larger and larger as you approach the secluded Faroe Islands in the middle of the North Sea. Or head over vast frozen landscapes to some of the remotest airports in Greenland. Who knows, you might even spot the elusive Northern Lights?
This year, the focus will be on group flights to various destinations in Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
