PIREP numbers

Post by OAL269 Kyprianos Biris »

Some PIREP numbers inconsistencies in my last flight with the Concorde from Honolulu to Tokyo.

OAV report for PIREP:
http://www.oav.gr/pages/fskeeper/PIREPD ... ?ID=188613

Block time (4:14) is correct.
Flight time (2:40) is wrong; it was 3:50 (from Time OFF -> Time ON)
Day Flight time (254 total in minutes) is correct.
Flight Distance 22383,6 (nm) and Planned Route Distance 0 (nm) are wrong.
It should be ~3350nm

This was an "unusual" flight passing via 180* Longitude from west to east hemisphere.
Maybe that caused issues.

FSUIPC 4.929

Don't wonder about the flight track (red) inconsistency towards the last portion of the flight; it was INSs guidance failure in absence of VORs to DME update the INS for 3,000+ nm. and a pilot having left the cockpit for some time not realizing the failure :o
Luckily it was recognized in time and some dead reckoning on heading mode brought the flight in range of the first VOR over Japan's coast to realign and provide reliable guidance to the last part of the flight for descent and approach :D
