New Pilot and unable to cancel a flight from dispatch
Hi All,
I'm Arnaldo from Italy, and I'm a new PIlot here in OAV.
I booked my first flight on Dispatch Office, but I wanted to cancel that to Book another one, and now I'm unable to do anythings on Dispatch: Unable to book an other flight.
Wha't I'm doing wrong??
Thanks
Arnaldo

Re: New Pilot and unable to cancel a flight from dispatch
HI Nick,
I'm back to you with an other issue, I think.
whwn I installed the ACARS, folllow all the instructions on Manual, I did'n get any errors or problems. But now when I start the ACARS to start logging a Flight I get an error:
When I select I flight, on Acars flight plan tab, I get an Framework.net error I think for the Flight Plan.
What's wrong?
1. I Installed Acars on a client PC and using it via Wide FS
2. Client PC with XP SP3
3. As I wrote above I did'nt get any errors from installer.
4. I checked and I have all files needed to run it.
Results I flew my first flight on line on VATSIM but I'm was unable to send a Pirep for that.
Regards
Arnaldo

Re: New Pilot and unable to cancel a flight from dispatch
It seems you are getting the error during the flight plan parsing. If that's the case, as stated in the ACARS quick installation guide, you should:
P.S. Send the pirep manually by editing it in the dispatch office, just make sure you fill in correctly the block out and block in values. Enter any logical amount of passengers and cargo based on the type of the airplane.
Let us know how it goes!9. To check if ACARS runs without errors, without using FSX we book a any flight from the Dispatch Office for testing purposes. We connect to ACARS and choose that flight. ACARS will start processing our flightplan. In case we get an error, we should re-install the 32bit version of Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 (not the x64) we'll find at Microsoft's site located here.

Re: New Pilot and unable to cancel a flight from dispatch
HI Nick,
I'm triyng to acces to the MS page to download again the Access Database Engine, but that page is very slow and I'm unable to download.
I'll try after.
I just manually fill the Pirep form and I submitted it.
THanks for the moment and I'll be back to you I hope with good news.
Best

HI Nick,
finally seems I solved also this problem: I reinstalled the Access LIbrary... and Now I don't get any errors from Acars.
That's time for my second flight.
Thanks again for your patient.

I'm glad you sorted it out Arnaldo!
If you need anything else, just let us know!
By the way, when flying with OAV, you could use either the callsign you have as a pilot (OAL139), or the callsign of the flight, for example OAL0736 for LGAV-LGKO (and not OAL736. Using that callsign may prevent the pilot who owns from logging in online). Generally most prefer the first choice, but it's a matter of personal taste

Re: New Pilot and unable to cancel a flight from dispatch
Hi All,
have a similar problem as described in the beginning of this post.
I have a flight in my ACARS which although I have cancel it long ago in dispatch , it is still appearing.
Assume this will take the admin input to get read of it ( it is not visible in the dispatch anymore however I still get it in my ACARS).
The RIREP in caption is "180469 LGHI TO LGAV"
Is there any solution to this other than asking the admin to assist me ?
Thanks and Safe Landings
Mike

Re: New Pilot and unable to cancel a flight from dispatch
Hi Nick,
as you know, I flew also my second flight on OAV.
Regarding the Callsign, I read carfully the OM and I know that we should use our Personal Callsign, But If possible I prefer, use the Flight itself, because that change every flight and isn't static as our personal. If possibile, of course....
THanks again for your help.

Re: New Pilot and unable to cancel a flight from dispatch
Yes it is possible, just use the full flight callsign for example OAL0736 and not OAL736. If you use OAL736 you may have conflicts with another pilot822838 wrote:Hi Nick,
