Video TUTORIALs
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

P3D Notes:
For P3D 3x installation read carefully the ES FAQs.pdf in CX_20 Documents, especially page 3 about required DLL.XML entry for HyperGauge.dll
In P3D load the aircraft after fully launching the sim with an aircraft with engine(s) running, do not load the aircraft from the Scenario Screen.
In P3D Generated Flight Plans in FMS are not stored when Initialization is complete in Documents\Prepar3D v3 Files (like in FSX) so you cannot find old FPLs in the FMC. Maybe a future update will solve this.

Until now Eaglesoft's C750 is almost certainly the most advanced Corporate Jet in FSX/P3D with the most of subsystems simulated.

ICAO Code: C750
SX-CXA.jpg
Aircraft add on available by EAGLESOFT
http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/CitationX_20.htm
Registered version of FSUIPC is required.
No need to buy LROPS extra guide. Important data of it included below.

Limits
Ceiling: 51,000 ft (15,545 m) maximum certified
Range: 3,390 nautical miles (6,278 km)*
with full fuel and 36,100 lbs (16,375 kg) takeoff weight

Needed tweaks:
- If using FSInn see this post
- If you get a high IDLE power check in FSUIPC.ini AxesWrongRange=No --> AxesWrongRange=Yes Relevant post here

Performance in FS:
Mach 0,85~0,90 (500~510Kts) - FL400~440 - 3.250nm IFR range.*
Low to Medium weights, ISA, Sea Level: Take Off Distance 1.200m - Landing Distance 810m

NetJet's C750 operational range example chart
Image

*Following testing and question to developers the FS model's range seems to be a bit lower, in the region of 3,100~3,200nm to dry tanks (i.e. not with IFR reserve).
London - New York is ~3,100nm so consider FS model IFR range to be in the region of 2,900nm

OAV Executive is able to connect London to New York with the C750 via Shannon EINN in Ireland as a quick intermediate stop for refueling. (Flights: OAL143X..OAL146X)

PFPX Profile (Thanks: Chris Makris) http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/fi ... ed-cruise/

Useful tool for Weight & Balance and step climb planning
http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/downloads.htm
Download and use Cessna Citation X Extreme 2.0 Weight and Balance Spreadsheet
Using the above and this Knowledge base post you can see what climb/cruise levels you shall expect.

Mission Planning Table:
DISTANCE - TYPICAL CRUISE ALTITUDE (FT)
0‐100 NM - 10,000‐16,000
101‐200 NM - 18,000‐35,000
201‐300 NM - 33,000‐39,000
301‐500 NM - 39,000‐43,000
501‐1,000 NM - 41,000‐45,000
1,001+ NM - 41,000‐49,000

Do Not add STEP CLIMB for flights less than 1,000nm or when STEP POINT is less than 20' flying to ToD
OPTIMUM level in less than 1,000nm flights will confuse FMS if you try to add STEP CLIMB and may cause FSX CTD (Crash To Desktop)

Fuel Burn for Flight Planning purposes
2,500 lbs/Hr - First hour
2,000 lbs/Hr - Second/third hour
1,800 lbs/Hr - Fourth hour+

See units conversions thread for aircraft loading & flight planning

FMS programming sequence
1. POS INIT
2. FLT PLAN SELECTION/INPUT STAGE
3. PERF INIT (AIRCRAFT PERFORMANCE INFORMATION)
4. DEPARTURE/ARRIVAL SCREENS (INPUT SIDS/STARS)
5. TAKE OFF INIT SCREEN
6. INFLIGHT MONITORING
7. LANDING INIT SCREEN CONFIRMATION*

*DO NOT execute step 7. before Top Of Climb- danger of FSX CTD

Basic Handling data for FS model:

500Lbs (227Kg) ballast fuel always remains in CENTER tank. Do not load FS model with 0 fuel in center tank.
Load wing tanks first and if full continue with center tank. Center tank empties to ballast fuel first (automatically) and then the wing tanks.

See these FMS TUTORIALS:

They cover most of the CitationX FMS setup procedures.

(real) Citation X - Loading the FMS, explained

(FS) Pilot's "Quick Notes" from usage:

Read at minimum the CX20 FMS Quick Start Guide.pdf in documentation. It is very important.

PRELIMINARY
Remove Yoke view with red lever below it.
2 Batteries & Standby Power ON
Parking Break (you may simulate hydraulics with pump ON, parking brake engage, Pump off)
APU power up, pneumatic feed ON, cabin airconditioning switches ON
EICAS, Avionics ON
IRS ALIGN (both), click TEST, enter GPS position in BOTH FMSs
Enter FPL in 1st FIX and then "FIX.via(airway)" format for each line.
* Developer recommends: DEP ICAO, RUNWAY/SID, DESTINATION ICAO and then AIRWAY.FIX entries in between them as sequence of data entry.
Enter as last waypoint the destination airport ICAO to close the route entry process.
Proceed with PERF INIT and only after it is COMPLETE (initialized) the FPL gets saved (in FSX flights) and flight plan is activated (see it via PROG page in side FMC fuel at destination)
FPL generated can also at this point be imported to HiFi products like ASN (found in FSX saved Flight Plans with _X in end)
In FMS Enter SID and expected STAR (NO destination APPROACH yet) and enter TAKE OFF INIT details.
Adjust PFD and MFD displays from options buttons at bottom.
Set SPEEDS in AUTO to read FMS Take Off data.
Lights
No fuel pump switches needed.
Engine start process is automatic - no manual fuel feed switch needed.
At 19% click the white spot under the throttle to initiate fuel flow. Spot is hidden by Throttle lever and needs lowered viewpoint to see it.
APU OFF
Lights, taxi to runway (58~59% N1)
Transponder TA/RA

TAKEOFF
Lights
Flaps 15
Power to FADEC T/O, rotate at Vr

CLIMB
Acceleration altitude
Power to CLB
Flaps/slats up.
FLC follows IAS (later Mach) set as PITCH mode at the power set by FADEC.
It is NOT like the Boeing FLC mode with auto-throttle.
VNAV follows PITCH modes for speeds set in FMC VNAV profile.

CRUISE
Set power to CRU

DESCENT
Enter STAR and APPROACH
IMPORTANT: Review Altitude Constraints; sometimes FMS interprets AIRAC data wrong and gets you lower much earlier (Example some EGLC arrivals to ALKIN via SOVAT/LOGAN)
No ALT & SPEED constraint possible, ONLY crossing ALT constraint possible.
Enter (runway) LANDING data to have speeds in PFD.
Check ToD via 2nd FMS PROGRESS page 2
If in VNAV mode set ALT lower than current to initiate descent (before ToD) and monitor POWER (~70%) to avoid acceleration beyond Vne.
Descend at 80~>70% N1
If asked to HOLD : NAV -> Page 2 -> PATTERNS -> HOLD and specify data

APPROACH
Spoilers ARM
Follow PFD flap extension & approach speeds
Lights

LAND
At Vref+5

TAXI
Taxi to gate, spoilers, flaps, Pitot
Start APU

Support forum:
http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=6
Consult Knowledgebase for setup known issues (FSInn, Throttle/FSUIPC setup etc.)

Simulation details:
Last release version is V3.02.11, the one that is downloaded when purchased.
Honeywell Primus 2000 Avionics package well simulated
Good FMS with Navigraph AIRAC updates.
Saving and importing of (saved) routes available.
Able to enter DTO FIX, custom Fix/bearing/distance fix or custom fix with coordinates.
Good HOLD entry and tracking via FMS
Nice units conversions in FMS
Good FMS ToD, VNAV operation with manual altitude restrictions (but no speed) entry ability.
Transponder/TCAS OK for on line flying with AI traffic on MFD (with realistic TCAS filter i.e. not all traffic in all levels)
Good visuals in External and VC views (Reflective Glass), Bad quality in 2D panels.
Instrument panel background light - average quality
No TAWS / terrain radar in MFD.
COM/NAV/ADF/Transponder tuning possible also via FMS

Weather Radar: Included

Pax loading from custom menu.
Fuel loading from FS menu.
FADEC Throttles that maintain power in proper CRU(cruise) CLB(climb) and T/O(takeoff) settings - registered version of FSUIPC is required for FADEC to work properly
Autopilot VSI and IAS / Mach (FLC) PITCH modes.
Bad (simple/flat) 2D windows graphics (from FS9 era)
Actually, the only 2D pop up really needed is the Autopilot's Heading, Course, Altitude knobs window "RIC Pop Up" which in VC is low in the pedestral view.
No Tooltips in VC
FMS incompatible with parallel 2D and VC view - VC only operation recommended with multiple views settings via EZdok camera or similar.

Reported Bugs:
- FMS cannot display same time in 2D and VC. If opened in 2D the VC (or vice versa, but always one of the two) will freeze in last image before opening of other window. Operation can continue from the other window (2D / VC) where its active.
- Standby ADI goes INOP in some cases is cage lever is pulled, just don't pull it.
- Reverse thrust operates on checks before departure but MAY not operate on landing on some rare cases.
- DO NOT enter STAR / LANDING data in FMC before reaching Top Of Climb (ToC) while flying. In some cases this may produce loss of LNAV follow in NAV mode. After ToC enter ARRIVAL & APPROACH data and later LANDING data to get the ref speeds
- Some click spots of VC cockpit may get lost depending on view like the No.2 NAV/COM unit. Opening of the respective 2D panel and closing it again may correct the problem.
