Last year the Toronto FIR hosted the first annual Toronto Pearson International 24 Hour Real Ops event. With overwhelming support from hundreds of VATSIM members and countless Virtual Airlines, we were able to acquire 461 bookings and had an astonishing 562 total flights over our 24 hours of ATC. This year the Toronto Flight Information Region is going ever BIGGER and even more UNTHINKABLE then last year, we are going to run the Toronto REAL OPS 2012 for a full 24 Hours LIVE FROM DOWNTOWN TORONTO!
That's right, on Saturday, the 22nd of September starting at 1000z that's 6:00am Eastern Daylights saving Time, Toronto FIR is going to run its second annual 24 hours REAL OPS event. We are giving you the ultimate choice of 1181 real world flights to book from. That's 589 Departures and 592 Arrivals, from over 26 airlines and cargo carriers to take you to or from almost any Domestic or International airports in the World!
If that was not enough for you, our friends at Rex, Just Plane, Orbx, HiFi Technologies, Oryx, A2A Simulation, Flight1, Aerosoft, McPhat Studios, Fly Tampa, and FS2CREW have taken this event to another level. How does it work? Pilots are to book any of the flights listed on the Booking page that they are interested in flying, which will then enroll them into the prize pool. Pilots may book as many flights as they wish, as long as the flight times do not conflict.
Can I use my Virtual Airline Callsign? Yes, we are giving you the option to use your Virtual Airline Callsign in replacement of the callsign given in the scheduled flights. Your flight(s) are tracked by your CID and booked flight(s), within the allotted event time.

HOW TO WIN A PRIZE!
There will be two prize pools running for the entire duration of our Toronto Real Ops 2012 event.
First prize pool: This pool is for everyone who has booked a flight and has flown their booked flight within the allotted 24 hour time period. Every flight you complete earns you one ballot into the prize pool. The more flights you book and complete, the more ballots you will have entered to win!
More flights mean more chances to win!
Second prize pool: This pool is for everyone who makes their arrival or departure time within plus or minus 10 minutes of the scheduled time at Toronto (CYYZ). Every flight that you complete on-time earns you one ballot into this draw.
