[Fixed] A small bug in fuel cost calculation in the economic model.

Under some circumstances, when the user was loading the aircraft with fuel equal or less of the quantity it already had, the fuel cost was determined by the amount of fuel burnt in the flight and not by the amount of fuel bought.
The code was altered so that the cost equals to zero if no fuel is bought and if the user loads less fuel (the user empties fuel from the aircraft), the cost equals to (amount of fuel emptied) x (fuel cost in that airport).

Do you mean that the company "sells" the fuel (say 1 ton of fuel) at the local price (= profit from sale) as if they emptied it or that it charges the company 1 ton of fuel as if 1 ton of fuel was purchased at local price ?

The second.

The logical thing would be the company to profit from the excess fuel emptied. But then again an airline is not a fuel selling company.
The main idea is to "punish" the pilot for emptying an aircraft of fuel by extracting money from the flight revenue, as if the fuel was dumped and not sold. In my opinion the pilot should respect the aircraft's fuel load, take it into account when choosing a specific aircraft, or choose another one with less fuel on board. The pilot should also know how to calculate and reduce the aircraft's payload in order to conform with it's maximum weights if it's fuel amount is more than usual.

The idea and my logic on the matter is open for discussion! :)

[Feature] The number of Free Flights a pilot has, is now visible on the Send Pirep page at the "Flight No" field next to "Free Flight", before the pirep submission. If there are no free flights available, detailed explanatory statistics appear.

[Feature] Assignments have been added to the Aeroclub Division.

The Aeroclub division has from now on it's own assignments, modificated to conform to the division's spirit and principles. Feel free to check them out and provide your feedback!
For now, only 2 missions will be assigned per month, but if you wish to have more, just ask for it on our forum.
Please keep in mind that because the Aeroclub's schedules are been reworked by our new manager and since the assignments are based on them, you may notice in the future that some of the missions (if not all), won't show up after a while. We ask for your patience until the complete flying schedule gets updated.

We remind you that the assignments are not mandatory!

[Feature] Added map with departure-destinations markers at the "Book a Flight" page.

An interactive map has been added at the "Book a Flight" page (also visible at the "Flight Plans" page in the economic model), displaying the location of the airports according to the filters selected.
METAR and TAF is also visible when you hover the mouse over the airport. There is also an option to display weather icons where significant weather phenomena occurs like strong wind, rain, thunderstorm, low visibily etc.

Have in mind that sometimes airports TAF isn't getting returned from the weather service provider we are using.

[Change/Fix] Schedule page: In the economic model after selecting an aircraft, it's type is not displayed any more at the schedules page, thus pilots no longer need to delete it in order to view all flights.

[Change/Minor Fix] Schedule/Flight Plans page: Added a legend for flights flown in the past and corrected the "flights flown" image alignment.

[Feature] Schedule/Flight Plans page: Clicking a destination airport on the map now displays the available flights to that destination.

[Minor Fix] Traffic Board's Map no longer reloads entirely when data changes.

[Feature] Added status indicator for aircrafts condition in the economic model.

The status indicator shows green if all the aircraft's subsystems are well above grounding level and gradually turns to red as they wear out and get closer to grounding level. Note that the color of the indicator is subject to the condition of any of the 4 simulated aircraft's subsystems.

[Feature] Added News page

A new page called "News" is now available under the "Flights" tab in our dispatch office, which from now on serves also as the default page when logging in.

It displays monthly information about numerous activities that take place in each division. It's purpose is to enhance the feeling of being part of a live organization and allow the members to take a peak of what's going on behind the scenes in our virtual company.

We hope you like it, your thoughts and suggestions are welcomed!

[Feature] Aircraft Reposition available.

For pilots of the economic model, there's a new feature available that allows them to reposition an aircraft to a different airport if they need to. To do that you must click on the move icon located right next to the plane icon at the bookings page. Be aware that:
  • There's a cost a pilot has to pay depending on the plane's consumption and the range of the destination airport.
  • It takes real time for the aircraft to arrive at the choosen destination (depending on the plane's speed as it's listed in our dispatch and the range), plus a bit for our dispatch office to make it available (aircraft refitting time). So it's better if you plan ahead before moving an aircraft.
  • It's on division's manager discretion to enable or not aircraft repositioning for each division.
